Duo From coast to coast
Vrijdag 19 juni - Ivo Stuivenberg (piano, zang, Nederland) en Paulinho Paes (gitaar, zang, Brazilië) zullen spelen op Tante Nino's tuinpodium. Deze muzikale wereldreizigers en virtuoze duizendpoten serveren een smaakvolle cocktail van jazz, bossa nova, Latin jazz, Franse chansons, soul en gospel. Pure improvisaties, liedjes met een verhaal, muziek uit het hart. Een exotisch avondje uit!
Bio's
Paulinho Paes is componist, arrangeur, gitarist en muziekdocent. Geboren in São Paulo speelt hij vanaf zijn achtste gitaar waar hij vooral les in klassieke folkloristische Braziliaanse muziek kreeg. Op zijn 15de begon hij zijn eerste rockband. Hij volgde de opleiding Populaire Muziek toegespitst op Gitaar aan de Universiteit Carlos Gomes in São Paulo studeerde af in 1996. Paes speelde in veel muzikale trio's en bands en begeleidde solo-artiesten in Brazilië, Nederland, Frankrijk, Portugal en Spanje. Van 2010 tot en met 2012 speelde hij in het XLJazz onder leiding van Martin Fondse.
Daarnaast verzorgde hij muzikale workshops voor Buitenkunst. Paulinho Paes is een muzikant die probeert flexibel zijn met zijn kunst door het avontuur op te zoeken in uiteenlopende genres van Braziliaanse muziek samba, bossa nova, choro, baiãoas en jazz, klassieke en elektronische muziek en Latin jazz.
Ivo Stuivenberg is pianist, zanger en entertainer. Opgegroeid in Heerle, Noord Brabant en nu woonachtig in Rotterdam. Sinds zijn studie aan het Rotterdams Conservatorium is hij naast piano/keyboard docent actief als pianist, zanger, componist, arrangeur, tekstschrijver en producer. Hij heeft gemusiceerd over de hele wereld in zeer uiteenlopende stijlen zoals: pop, jazz, blues, black gospel, funk, soul, chansons, theater- en filmmuziek, Noord-Afrikaanse, Braziliaanse, Cubaanse en Caribische muziek.
Ivo zingt in het Nederlands, Engels, Frans en Italiaans, heeft een enorm repertoire in uiteenlopende stijlen. "Van sfeervolle achtergrond muziek en mooie luisterliedjes tot dans- en knalnummers, met alles wat daar tussen in zit", zo staat op zijn website.

About the musicians
Paulinho Paes is a composer, arranger, guitarist and music teacher. Born in São Paulo, he plays the guitar from the age of eight, where he was mainly taught classical Brazilian folk music. He started his first rock band at the age of 15. He studied Popular Music on Guitar at the University of Carlos Gomes in São Paulo graduated in 1996.
Paes played in many musical trios and bands and accompanied solo artists in Brazil, the Netherlands, France, Portugal and Spain. From 2010 to 2012, he played in XLJazz under the direction of Martin Fondse. He also gave musical workshops for Buitenkunst. Paulinho Paes is a musician who tries to be flexible with his art by looking for the adventure in various genres of Brazilian music, samba, bossa nova, choro, baiãoas and jazz, electronic music, classical music and Latin jazz.
Ivo Stuivenberg is a pianist, singer and entertainer. Raised in Heerle, North Brabant and now living in Rotterdam. Since his studies at the Rotterdam Conservatory, he has been active as a piano / keyboard teacher as a pianist, singer, composer, arranger, lyricist and producer. He has made music all over the world in very diverse styles such as: pop, jazz, blues, black gospel, funk, soul, chansons, theater and film music, North African, Brazilian, Cuban and Caribbean music.
Ivo sings in Dutch, English, French and Italian and has a huge repertoire in various styles. "From atmospheric background music and beautiful listening songs to dance and pop songs, with everything in between," as says his website.
