Laros Concert Series - Bereris & Lelaurain Duo
The duo of Lelaurain and Bereris will perform a wide repertoire including their original compositions as well as pieces from the classical era and music from the mediterranean countries. They have created their own musical language that mixes contemporary jazz improvisation with melodic and rhythmic elements from the Middle Eastern and the Balkan musical traditions.
Both musicians, based in South Rotterdam, are active in the international world music scene of the Netherlands having performed in world music venues and festivals around Europe.
This concert is the first performance of the world music series in Tante Nino that is organised by the Greek pianist and composer Yiorgos Bereris.
